Dental bridges, as the name suggests, quite literally bridge the gap in your mouth left by missing or severely damaged teeth. Aside from being aesthetically obvious, especially if your missing teeth are in a visible part of your mouth, gaps can allow the remaining teeth to shift and therefore affect your bite, becoming very uncomfortable over time.
Following an initial consultation with one of our team, your bridge will be made bespoke to your facial measurements, from porcelain or ceramic materials that can be closely matched to the natural colour of your teeth. During a follow-up appointment, your bridge will be fitted using the teeth on either side of the gap as ‘anchors’, which will support the rest of your jawline.
Bridges are often a longstanding and hard-wearing solution to any gaps in your mouth, and last for an average of 10-20 years although often much longer.
